ARTIST BIO

Misty Dawn, a Pisces Dragon born February 26, 1976,
is a self-taught artist who works primarily in watercolor.

Her first passion has always been writing, and although her deep
appreciation of art has been life-long, she has only recently
discovered an interest in painting.

A proud Native American and tribal member of the Citizen Potawatomi
Nation, the People of the Fire, Misty hopes to honor her heritage with a
personal goal of conveying a sense of quiet spirituality with her art.
Her greatest inspirations are music, literature, nature, and of course art.
Misty has a profound admiration of poet Emily Dickenson, many modern
Musicians including The Police, Indigo Girls, and Phil Collins, and favorite
Present day artists Willow Arlea, Jessica Galbreth, and Susana Nakar, each
of whom she believes contributes to the most beautiful poetry of the world,
whether through the written word, instrumentals, vocals, or paintings.

Misty writes:
We can all connect in this life, regardless of spiritual paths, regardless
of personal truths. We communicate our unique human experiences with
art, with literature, with music. The world is filled with amazing people,
animals and places, all of which are waiting to be discovered by us;
to discover us.

I will aspire to attain wisdom and growth while I am here, and if even
one spirit is touched by even one of my paintings, I will consider
myself a successful artist.

We, the water of life! Source which arises out of us
and flows that much richer the more you drink from
us Drink! Drink!
