Sonya Fedotowsky was born on July 21, 1972 in the beautiful Berkshire
county of Massachusetts. Growing up at the foot of Mt. Greylock with it's
adjacent mountains brought her in close contact with nature which would
become the foremost influence for her art. Her childhood was spent
exploring fields, streams, and forests, and having nature for her
playground. As a young child Sonya was also influenced by fairy tales,
which later developed into a love for science fiction and fantasy. Sonya has
an Associates Degree in Visual Art, and a Bachelor's Degree in Christian
Education. Besides painting, Sonya also works as a Pre-kindergarten
teacher. Working with children has kept Sonya in touch with her own
childhood, and children have become another influence for her art.
