ARTIST BIO

Wendy A. Fowler is a self-taught artist and has done art as far
back as she can remember (earliest starts were ' womb painting'
according to her mother). Her mediums for art are primarily watercolor,
colored pencil and pastel, pen and ink. She credits her artistic influences
ranging from her father, anime styled-art, Boris Vallejo, Chris Archilleos,
Frank Frazetta and Olivia De Berardinis to Brian Froud, ElfQuest, Jessica
Galbreth, Amy Brown, Nene Thomas; just to name a few on an extremely
long list of artists.

She has always been charmed by the enchanted realm of fantasy;
for it has no limitations of the imagination and abounds with surprises
and mystism glimpsed briefly in mundane times. Her inspirations spring
from an idea, a chorus from a song, a picture, Shakespeare, myths
and legends. Wendy infuses her creations with a piece of herself and
emotions into what she paints.

Wendy is happily married and has a wonderful pixie for a daughter.
She hopes to have a ' small zoo' of pets (3 ferrets, fish for her daughter,
a turtle for her husband and a Korean Jindo dog) to add the magic
and mischief already invited to her homestead. Wendy is currently
traveling the world with her family; finding that pixies, fairies and magic
are always crossing her path, whether on a leisure walk in the local
village, working in the garden or reading a book.

She hopes to share the charm and wonderment that has been
sprinkled crossed her life on paper with others.
