ARTIST BIO

Linda Peltola was born on May 7th 1984 and she’s residing in
a
small village named Killinkoski in a western province of the
Scandinavian country, Finland. Her art career’s initial roots
began
when she was a child as nothing more than a simple hobby. At only
7 years of age she took part in her first art exhibition. Inspired very
deeply by this, Linda realized that this was what she wished
to pursue in life more than anything else.
In her work you can see colourful faeries playing in the middle of the
serene enchanted nature that’s been very strongly influenced by
her
immediate surroundings in Finland, but you will also encounter some
gloomy and majestic beauties shining through the darkness. Gothic
esthetics, music and the entire subculture have also been a great
influence of her work. Linda is very fond of using acrylics for her
work
at the moment, but she’s also very comfortable in using oil- and
watercolours.
After years of painting, designing and over 20 exhibitions in Finland
she started her own company called Lindavision. Offering graphic
design services, illustrating, layout design and also selling her artwork
originals (paintings and dolls) and prints both in Finland and internationally.
Her dreams and goals for the future are to illustrate all of her favorite
faerie tales some day, maybe write her own children’s books and
of
course to have the possibility to continue creating new art that touches
people everywhere. Linda is available for commissions and can
be contacted preferably via e-mail.
